Something light-hearted

Here's a wonderful example of Appalachian flat-footing, performed by American Nic Gareiss and fiddler Anna Lindblad.
The performance was in Limerick, Ireland, and the audience seems very appreciative. I love these trans-Atlantic exchanges; we do have a common heritage, though we have diverged.

I love Appalachian flat-footing and buck-dancing. It's another of those dwindling folk traditions that is being displaced by mass popular culture. But the fact that there are young folks learning these things is a cause for hope.
Enjoy.
