The Eighth of January - Hank Williams

Hank Williams and friends with an instrumental version of the tune ''Eighth of January'', traditionally a fiddle tune. Many of you will remember that the tune is also known as 'The Battle of New Orleans'', commemorating the event of that name on January 8, 1815.

For the music trivia buffs, the song Battle of New Orleans was written by Jimmy Driftwood, but made popular circa 1959 by Johnny Horton.
